ROUTE Lille (F) – Ghent Ghent – Antwerp Antwerp – ´S Hertogenbosch (NL) Getting to Belgium from Lille was easy like drinking a dark beer in Ghent. Well, Belgium is a very small country, but hey, they have an unreasonable amount of beer per capita. Especially the dark one. Taste is reasonable though. It is easy to point Ghent and Antwerp as you just need … Continue reading Lisbon | Nordkapp >> Cycling in Belgium

From la Rochelle I rode on La Vélo Francette, a brand new cycle path along the Loire and la Mayenne.
I find this route very beautiful, green and romantic. Full of castles and flowers, fishermen and funniest cows ever.
French are obsessed with flowers and gardens. Gardeners were everywhere and some plants get the most ridiculous haircut. Continue reading Lisbon | Nordkapp >> Cycling La Vélo Francette

I was used to cross mountains by now but the wind I faced that day was unbelievable. I now understand why on top they put all those windmills! Anyway, I made it even this time, so good job … Continue reading Lisbon | Nordkapp >> Pamplona

When I left Lisbon at the end of April I was not sure about the weather but I can say I got more than lucky. I found always great sunny and warm weather. Nothing to compare to the heavy rains we can normally encounter during this month. They are lovely, especially if you are not cycling. But well, I was purely cycling in Portugal so … Continue reading Lisbon | Nordkapp >> Cycling in Portugal
I could not sleep well on that night train, I actually never sleep comfortably on a train. I try many positions like just the best contortionist could do but when I try to lean my head against the window to find some support I end up always with a broken neck bone. With a half eye open I could hear the train stopping and welcoming … Continue reading Lisbon | Nordkapp >> Lisbon
It all started with: Get those train tickets Franz and move your ass. Not really, It did not begin exactly this way. But when I bought them I had no excuse but to leave. Initially it is all in your head, you have an idea, you start planning, buying maps and stuff you will probably need, but you know, those objects can stay in your … Continue reading Munich | Lisbon by train.
